This year’s (ISC)2 Secure SDLC was co-sponsored by the Austin Chapter and (ISC)2 National and held on June 11th at the Hilton. The chapter hosted a table and engaged with many attendees about the program, distributing a short report about our first year accomplishments. We signed up 22 new members. The representative from National commended the Austin chapter on its effectiveness, and we thank National for sending us information and items to display.
The excellent presentations included talks on crypto-agility, the 7 qualities of highly-secure software, layered approaches to blocking malware, bridging the gap between security and developers, and finding effective KPIs. The conference wrapped up with an expert panel of “Builders and Breakers.”
