Chapter members are invited to nominate themselves and/or other members as candidates to serve on the Board for the 2017 term
Offices are: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Membership Chair, Treasurer, Director of Operations, Director of Sponsorships and Community Outreach, Director of Technology Services, and Director of Social Media.
Note: Candidates for the offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Membership Chair, and Treasurer must hold one of the (ISC)2 certifications (CISSP, CAP, CCFP, CCSP, CCSLP, HCISPP, SSCP).
Candidates for the Directorships are not required to be certified by (ISC)2, though they should be working towards certification.
Board Members may claim Type B CPE’s for Service.

(ISC)2 Austin Chapter Wins National Scholarship Contest!
Congratulations to everyone!
Its official. We have won the national scholarship chapter challenge by raising $3409.00 for scholarships for local high school students looking to study information security for their higher education. Thanks to everyone who donated and the hard work by board members to make this happen! National leadership will recognize our chapter with an article in the newsletter sent to all (ISC)2 members as well as a visit by leadership to our November 14th meeting. Please plan on attending to network with them and show them how awesome our chapter is. Also, if you know any high school juniors or seniors in the central Texas area who might be interested in applying for this scholarship, please refer them to the application page below. We will be accepting applicants through Nov 1. and be awarding the scholarship at one of our future meetings in the new year. Thanks again to all who participated in making our chapter number one nationally!!
